We
traveled yet again (Kayla was the first to bring feces on to the bus,
Goat feces that is)…to visit the Peace Corps office where we met a
Peace Corp admin, Scott, who also is in charge of Our Talking Hands
the non profit organization we will be working with later in the
trip. We got to play with the bunnies he was raising. Then we met a
cute little boy named Bless who was in kindergarten. He was
really into all of the phones, mostly Sarah’s because it was really
big. He mostly took to Emily who was being very playful picking him
up and tipping him upside down. He loved taking pictures on the
phones. It will be exciting to go back in a few days to learn more.
Then we kept on going and stopped at a large rest area where we all
got food. We noticed that there were beef burgers on the sign.. so of
course we got them. They were cold and Chris warned us, but said they
should be okay. Brianna and Kayla are still alive and well so
all is good. We went to the University in Kumasi and it was
amazing to see all of the students artwork. Chris was taken by
the hand of the man in charge of woods there. It was a sight to
see this Ghanaian man dragging a 6.8 foot obruni, (sp?) which means
white man by the hand. He was so excited and giddy to show us
what he has been working on it was adorable. It really made us
feel welcome there.
